Anemos was founded in 2018 after recognising a growing challenge faced by Australian businesses. Finding skilled, reliable employees was becoming increasingly difficult and expensive, while Sri Lanka was producing highly capable professionals eager to build meaningful careers with international organisations. We saw an opportunity to connect the two. What began with a small number of IT support professionals has grown into a diverse operation supporting businesses across multiple industries and functions. Along the way, we learned something important: Successful offshore staffing is not about filling vacancies. It is about building relationships, creating opportunities, and supporting people to do their best work. That philosophy continues to guide everything we do today. In 2024, we rebranded to Anemos, a Greek word meaning "wind". The name reflects our role behind the scenes: helping businesses move forward while providing the support, structure and momentum that allows great teams to thrive.
